Number of blocks requested (see below) *The market is divided into 188 blocks with only 6 powered and 140 undercover. The monthly rental of an undercover stall is $25 and $20 for an outside stall. The Stallholder is required to have their own insurance for their site. Since bookings often outnumber available sites, a maximum of four blocks may be booked. Sites are generally allocated on a “first booked” basis. A request may be refused to ensure variety of stalls and the ongoing vitality and viability of the Troppo Markets.

Once you have submitted these details, the market manager will be notified and will only advise you by email or phone to offer you a site at a particular market. The market manager will not verify receipt of your application. If you are applying to convert from a casual site to a permanent site, you will be automatically placed on a waiting list if no permanent sites are available at the time.

In times of high demand and when the market is fully booked, the market manager will be occupied looking after those stallholders already booked. If you have not had a response by email or by phone by 48 hours prior to the market, you can safely assume the market has been booked out and your application has failed. But all is not lost - in some cases there will be "late scratchings" so you could receive an invitation 12 hours prior to the market. Some stallholders just turn up on the day hoping for a vacant site and can be successful (no guarantee). If a stallholder has not arrived by 7 a.m. their site will be reallocated".
